The Annual General Meeting of the Thetford and District Branch of The Royal Air Forces Association will take place in the Sergeant’s Mess, RAF Honington, on TUESDAY 12th FEBRUARY 2013, Commencing at 19.30hrs.  Associate members and partners of member are most welcome to attend. We would like to see a lot more members attend this Annual General Meeting.  To enable the Branch to be kept up and running it is essential that members be more involved in branch activities.

5.         Secretary's Report on 2012 activities.

6.        Treasurer's Report and Statement of Accounts for 2012

7.         Wing's Appeal Organiser's Report.

8.         Membership Secretary's Report.

9.         Welfare Officer's Report.

10.       Election of Vice-Presidents - non committee.

11.       Election/re-election of Vice-Presidents to serve on the Committee.

12.       Election of Officers and General Committee.

            a)         Chairman

            b)         Vice Chairman

            c)         Secretary

            d)         Treasurer

            e)         Membership Secretary

            f)          General Committee Members (this will be for members who wish to take an active part in the Branch and

                        can attend meetings regularly). This includes Associate members who are now permitted to serve as

                        Committee Members.

           g)          Appointment of Area Conference Delegate, Honorary Welfare Officer, Deputy Welfare Officer, ATC Liaison

                        Officers, Wings Appeal Organiser, Deputy Wings Appeal Organiser and Media Liaison Officer.


Nominations for Branch Officers/Committee Members should be signed by two members and forwarded to the Secretary - to arrive not later than 7 days prior to the Annual General Meeting. Existing Branch Officers and Committee members who wish to be considered for re-election should notify the Secretary, at least 7 days prior to the Annual General Meeting. No member can be elected as a committee member or for any other office unless they are present and personally agree to hold the position.

Resolutions for consideration should be forwarded, in writing, to the Secretary at least 7 days prior to the Annual General Meeting.

   Chairman will conclude and close the meeting.
